QuickTime Streaming Server (QTSS)

This page is dedicated to demonstrating all aspects of Apple's QuickTime Streaming Server (QTSS). This includes locally hosted music and videos, a live video stream, and playlists hosted on another machine that sends the stream to a broadcast server. This was top of the line technology in its day, a time before Netflix, Skype, Pandora, and other media streaming services. Keep in mind the movies and live stream won't open in your browser as the QuickTime plugin is defunct. Paste the URL into VLC for best results. However, the music playlists will open in your browser. Note that this is somewhat flakey tech, it always was. It requires a lot of care and feeding, sometimes the links will be down. I generally check on them once a week.
